Alex M. Parker is a principal at Capitol Counsel, LLC. Parker brings over 10 years of experience reporting on international and corporate taxation in Washington, D.C., most recently as a senior tax correspondent with Law360 and as a reporter with Bloomberg Tax, both acclaimed trade publications for federal taxation. In those positions, Parker provided in-depth analysis and coverage of some of the most complex and pressing issues in international taxation, including international negotiations at the G-20 on global tax avoidance and the passage of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Before becoming a tax reporter, Parker covered Congress and the federal government for U.S. News & World Report and Government Executive, a magazine covering the federal workforce. He also worked for the Toledo Blade and the Lorain Morning Journal, both in Ohio, where he covered local government.
